Dragon Zap Affiliate WordPress Plugin

Prepare & Install

Download the plugin ZIP file and keep it unzipped.
Log into your WordPress dashboard as an administrator.
Go to Plugins » Add New and choose Upload Plugin.
Upload the Dragon Zap plugin ZIP, then click Install Now and Activate.

Connect Your Account

Navigate to Dragon Zap » Settings inside WordPress.
Paste in your Affiliate API key from the Dragon Zap dashboard.
Confirm your affiliate email and preferred currency display.
Click Save Connection to verify access to https://affiliate.dragonzap.com/api/v1.

Publish Courses

Use Dragon Zap » Products to pull in courses, bundles, or promotions.
Create new WordPress pages or posts and insert the provided shortcodes or blocks.
Preview content to confirm pricing, commission notes, and call-to-action buttons.
Schedule automatic syncs so catalog updates appear on your site without manual work.

Sync & Scheduling Tips

Run an initial manual sync after connecting to confirm credentials.
Use cron-based syncing for production sites; WP-Cron is adequate for smaller blogs.
Enable email alerts inside the plugin to be notified of sync failures or API auth issues.
Keep permalink structures simple (/blog/%postname%) to ensure landing pages match affiliate tracking.
If you rotate affiliate API keys, update the plugin immediately to avoid 401 errors.

Troubleshooting Checklist

Verify your hosting allows outbound HTTPS requests to affiliate.dragonzap.com/api/v1.
Confirm the Affiliate API key has the products:read and promotions:read scopes.
Flush WordPress permalinks if shortcode pages return 404 errors.
Check the plugin log under Dragon Zap » Logs for sync errors.
Reach out to support with the timestamp of the failure and recent log entries.
